Riding Lessons Offered by High Hopes
High Hopes offers group lessons for community members interested in learning how to ride, brushing up on old skills or looking to try a new discipline.
Our instructors specialize in individualizing instruction in a safe and supportive environment. With a wide variety of breeds and abilities, we will match you with the right member of our herd to meet your needs and ability.
Lessons are 1 hour each, once a week for 6 weeks. For mounted horseback riding there is a weight limit of 180 lbs for safety of horse and rider.
Lessons are offered at our Old Lyme site and our satellite site at Camp Harkness in Waterford, CT.The cost is $360 for the 6 week series.
In addition, private or semi private lessons are offered for $60 a lesson throughout the year when center schedule allows. Inquire below for more information.
